As director and co-owner of Americare Health & Rehab Center, Dr. Macchione offers many years of experience and expertise in the health care field.
He is a graduate primary care Chiropractic Physician from the National College of Chiropractic and a graduate Naprapathic doctor from the Chicago National College of Naprapathy. He has studied acupuncture at the Midwest Center for the Study of Oriental Medicine and is a medically board certified licensed acupuncturist.
He is also licensed by the State of Illinois as a nutrition counselor. Dr. Macchione holds a DACBN degree as a diplomate in nutrition as well as his CCN as a Certified Clinical Nutritionist. Dr. Macchione is also a Science Based Nutrition practitioner and provider. He is a member of the IAACN ( International & American Association of Clinical Nutritionists)
He has completed a post graduate course at the National College of Chiropractic in Chiropractic Sports Medicine. He is on the board of directors and vice-president of NASC (National Association of Spinal Care). He was an instructor at CNCN working with students and interns in the proper use of physical therapeutics ( modalities utilized in the treatment of patients). He has written articles for several national journals including the World Chiropractic Journal. He is a member of the ACA and Council on Sports Injuries and Physical Fitness.
Dr. Macchione also participated as team and tournament physician for the Illinois Taekwondo Association and was a tournament physician for the Junior Olympic Taekwondo Championship. Dr. Macchione has also taken post-graduate courses at the Los Angles College of Chiropractic for Chiropractic Rehabilitation, post graduate courses in CRA ( Contact Reflex Analysis ), National University of Health Sciences, Texas Chiropractic College, as well as attending conferences and seminars several times a year throughout the country.
